James C. Jernigan Library

Libraries "represent an individual's right to acquire knowledge; they are the sinews that bind civilized societies the world over. Without libraries, I would be a pauper, intellectually and spiritually."  - James Michener, author of Texas, Centennial, Hawaii and many other works.  Mr. Michener was the keynote speaker at the Jernigan Library's third floor dedication ceremony in 1984.
