Introduction to Zotero

Zotero is a free open source citation manager that allows you to collect and manage research information. In a way it is similar to the other citation managers, Endnote and Refwork. The following URL from the University of Virginia describes some of the differences between Refworks, Zotero, and Endnote.

This workshop involves the following activities:


    • Installation: Installing Zotero and the word processor plug-in.
    • Collecting: Adding resources into Zotero such as webpages and articles from a database
    •  Insert: Inserting Citations onto Microsoft Word.
    •  Creating Bibliographies: Using the word processor add-ins from Zotero to create a Bibliography on   Microsoft Word.
